In October 2016, Mr. Lucas Lo, the Chairman of the Peru Chamber of Commerce in Macau, held the "Shaanxi-Macau-Peru Belt and Road Initiative and Economic and Trade Exchange Conference". 

Mr. Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of Macau, Ms. Wang Lixia, Deputy Governor of Shaanxi Province, Mr. Sergio Manuel Avila Traverso, Consul General of Peru in Hong Kong and Macau, Mr. Damián Martínez Tagüeña, Consul General of Mexico in Hong Kong and Macau, other government officials and famous entrepreneurs attended the conference. 

Under the witness of three government leaders, Shaanxi, Macau and Peru representatives have signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation on economic and trade development, and will follow up on the implemented results.
