In July 2014, Chairman Lucas Lo was invited by the President of the Peruvian Congress, Fredy Otárola, to lead a delegation to Peru for one week exchange. The Peruvian Congress awarded him the Order of the Sun of Peru Knight, affirming his outstanding contributions to facilitate bilateral communication and cooperation between China, Macau and Peru over the years. The delegation and local government officials shared opinions about on the mutual exemption of visas between Peru and Macau. The Peru Chamber of Commerce in Macau and the Peruvian Foreign Trade Promotion Agency PROMPERÚ signed a cooperation agreement, which laid a solid foundation for further exchanges between both parties. During the visit, Chairman Lucas Lo took the time to meet with Peru's largest overseas Chinese Association, the Peru's Chinese Central Charitable Organization Ton Huy Chong Koc. The Chairman of the organization, Xiao Xiaoquan, expressed support for the establishment of the office of Macau Similan Group to facilitate more cooperation between Peru and Macau.
